Join us at Canada’s first jewellery-making retreat!
Located in the heart of Southwest Ontario, Canada, Bead-Treat is bringing you three original designs with three outstanding and creative instructors on May 4, 5, and 6, 2018.
In the comfort of Fanshawe College, Bead-Treat registrants will learn the latest in chainmaille, geometric beading and Cavandoli tapestry knotting. All three never-taught-before projects are original to the instructors and are suitable for all levels. Beginners will be introduced and taught the starter steps to each technique and will be able to continue to work the project. Experienced students will be able take their skills and run with the projects under the guidance of each instructor.
Marilyn Gardiner, Pamela Kearns and Angela Peace will be your instructors for the projects. Each participant will spend a day (10:00am – 5:00pm with a lunch break) in each class, completing all three classes in the weekend. Registering with a friend? Let us know and we’ll do our best to keep friends together in the same classes.
Bead-Treat’s major sponsor is BeadFX, a retail bricks-and-mortar/on-line jewellery supply store located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. BeadFX will provide hosting duties during the retreat and will offer demos and an open work session on Saturday evening. The weekend will also feature a meet and greet with registrants, instructors and sponsors on Friday evening.
Organized in conjunction with Pin it Canada, Bead-Treat is just one of several retreats scheduled as part of a super creative weekend. Pin it Canada will be home to 80 (or more) vendors in the fields of Painting, Mixed Media, Scrapbooking, DIY, Beading & Jewelry, Fibre Arts, Pamper Yourself and more. Included in the Pin it Canada experience will be workshops, demos and presentations.
