So you’ve created a beautiful rope of kumihimo, fiber braid, bead crochet or seed beading and you’re looking for something to add a stunning final finish. What about creating your own bead caps? You’ll discover how at Bead-Treat!

Join the fiber trend in jewellery-making and create your own bead caps – in the sizes, colours and styles you want – using Cavandoli tapestry. Cavandoli is a form of macrame and looks nothing like those wall-hanging owls and plant holders of the 1970s! Using the same knot as you tie your shoes with, Angela Peace will teach you the basics of Cavandoli knotting and take you through the steps of creating bead caps. The class will also include how to do the button knot – a Chinese knot that you can use as a closure.

As with all fibre art, you can change-up the caps to coordinate with whatever you choose to attach them to. The caps shown are created using C-Lon cord; change the cord to something finer or coarser and you’ll make the caps your own!

Registration in Bead-Treat includes everything you will need to complete a set of bead caps. Students have lots of colour choices.
