A statement bracelet at it’s best!
This is the most impressive new bracelet I’ve made for several years. It expands and contracts like an accordion and feels so good on my wrist! I love this unadorned version, but I can also see a version with beads added in the middle openings, or even drop beads along the outer edges. Can you spot the Byzantine building blocks?
We will start the day by making a pair of Byzantine Earrings so everyone learns the basic Byzantine weave and is comfortable with opening and closing jump rings. There are a lot of jump rings required to make this bracelet, but you will be well on your way to completing it by the end of the day (though some may actually finish). This class will run 10:00am to 5:00pm on all days with a lunch break.
This class includes a kit to make your bracelet in copper. It includes step-by-step, illustrated instructions, 1 main size of jump ring and a coordinating clasp. Makes up to a 9″ bracelet. All rings are saw-cut and polished
Bring to class:
- Eyeglasses or magnifiers for close-up work
- Pliers designed for chainmaille will be provided for class use, but you may wish to bring your own personal tools (flat nose pliers, chain nose pliers)
In-Class Upgrade available!
If you would prefer, you may do the Staggered Byzantine Bracelet using silver-filled jump rings for an additional $66 HST payable to the instructor the day of the class.
